4 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Jun 29, 2015 (Edited) I have a 2012 wrangler sport 28K miles. I noticed the other day while driving that the radiator fan was on. It seems to be on full blast too. The jeep isn't running hot at all. The temp needle never gets past half or even up to half way. When I start the jeep the fan is not on.JK running hot. my 2012 JK is running hotter than I think it should be. I took it to the dealer and they said its because the winch and spyder bumper. I’ve had it tested by 2 different mechanic shops for the head gasket issue and both said it’s fine. I’ve changed everything. It will drive for a week or so just fine then I’ll notice a day it will be running hot.

I recently got to 240 (with a couple seconds at 244) while towing a heavy trailer uphill on the interstate in 89F weather - 4000 rpm in 3rd at 55 mph. The JK is still over heating. Coolant is Genuine Mopar Coolant, also. It is NOT consuming any coolant at all, it has not gone down since the last flush. There is coolant pressurizing the hoses and in the radiator. The heater works fine. However, temps are still reaching 240.
