2024 Zion tripadvisor forum - Hi my wife and i are planning to go to zion for the day on thursday, we plan to drive from vegas on wed night and just spend the day there walking and doing a few trails. I know that a lot of ppl stay here for a few days but i was wondering if it was worth just going for one day, bearing in mind that we can go back quite often as the drive is only 3 hours.

Allow plenty of time when coming into Zion from beyond the east entrance. It can be a 30 to 45 minute drive just from the East entrance to the visitor center. If you have to park in Springdale and wait for a shuttle bus, that can take another 20 minutes or so as the town buses will come by every 15 minutes.
