It is a straight shaft trimmer. #1 I haven't used this trimmer in a couple of years and I can't figure out how to replace the string. The Internet says it uses .095 string but the grooves in the trimmer head are too large for that string. This is the FS 56RC (there is no E on it). It is a straight shaft trimmer.
