The Selmer S80 C* bass mouthpiece is excellent. The OD of the Selmer bass neck that fits the Selmer Bass mouthpiece is 0.700". This is slightly larger in diameter than most of the vintage bass instruments that are more common. These instruments' necks will often accept the slightly smaller neck diameter of baritone mouthpieces.Finger a low B and add the octave key to make it go up an octave. Then tune that pitch with the regular (x00|000) fingering. This makes sure you're in the ballpark for tuning.
