The 392 is a good engine and would run 200K in dump trucks with nothing but routine maintanence. Not much for diesels today but its pretty good for a 60's gasser truck engine. However, all the IH small v-8s (SV) have cam bearing problems in their old age. So if you have it out for any reason put in cam bearings no matter what.
