Both nostril and lip piercings were totally Ok but my septum wasn't allowed. I just flipped it up during my shift.

 
Nothing unusual or unexpected. I was bad and did flip it down a couple times in the first week just to see it (with squeaky clean hands), but it's been flipped up otherwise. If the bars are too long to flip you can have the piercer widen/bend it a bit to help. It doesn't hurt at all, they just pull the ring open a bit.
